Booking & General

How to book, what to expect, and getting started

How do I book a dumpster?

You can book online in just a few minutes by clicking "Book Now" on our website. Pick your dumpster size, choose your delivery date, fill in your details, and complete payment. You'll get an instant confirmation. You can also call us at 630-286-9638 if you prefer to book by phone.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking 2-3 days in advance to lock in your preferred delivery date. Same-day and next-day delivery are often available depending on availability — call us to check.

Do I need to be home for delivery and pickup?

Not necessarily. As long as we have clear access to your driveway or designated drop-off area and instructions are provided, we can deliver and pick up without you being present. We'll send notifications when we're on the way.

How do I cancel or reschedule?

Contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled delivery to reschedule or cancel without penalty. Same-day cancellations may incur a fee. Call 630-286-9638 or email us.

Are you family-owned?

Yes! Hardline Dump Services is a family-owned and operated business serving the western suburbs of Chicago. We treat every customer like a neighbor because most of them are.

Dump Trailer Rental

About our dump trailers, sizes, and how rentals work

What's the difference between a dump trailer and a roll-off dumpster?

Our dump trailers are pulled by our trucks and can be placed in tighter spaces than traditional roll-off dumpsters. They're lower to the ground for easier loading and don't require as much overhead clearance for delivery.

What sizes of dumpsters do you offer?

We offer 10 and 15 yard dump trailers. The 10 yard works for small cleanouts and single-room renovations. The 15 yard handles medium projects like kitchen remodels, roofing, and larger residential cleanouts.

How long can I keep the dumpster?

We offer flexible rental periods from 1 to 7 days. Our base rate includes 1 day, and you can add additional days as needed. Extended rentals are available for larger projects — just let us know.

How much space do I need for delivery?

You'll need a clear area approximately 10 feet wide and 25 feet long for our 10-yard trailer, with additional space for larger sizes. Overhead clearance of 15 feet is needed for safe delivery. Driveways and side yards work great.

Will the trailer damage my driveway?

Our dump trailers ride on rubber tires (not steel rollers like traditional roll-off dumpsters), so they're much gentler on driveways. Most homeowners have no issues with their driveway after a rental.

Do I need a permit?

If the dumpster is placed on your private property (driveway, yard, or business lot), no permit is typically needed. For street placement, you may need a permit from your city. We can help guide you through the process.

Junk Removal & Cleanouts

Full-service hauling, estate cleanouts, and what we remove

What's the difference between junk removal and a dump trailer rental?

With junk removal, we do all the heavy lifting — you point at what needs to go and our crew loads and hauls it. With a dump trailer rental, we drop off a trailer for you to load yourself at your own pace, then we haul it away. Junk removal is faster; dump trailer rental is cheaper.

What items do you remove?

Furniture, appliances, mattresses, electronics, exercise equipment, hot tubs, yard waste, construction debris, drywall, lumber, flooring, and general household clutter. We handle residential and commercial cleanouts.

What items can't you take?

We cannot accept hazardous materials including paint, chemicals, asbestos, medical waste, or fuel. Contact us if you're unsure about a specific item and we'll let you know.

Do you offer estate and foreclosure cleanouts?

Yes. We handle complete estate cleanouts, foreclosure cleanouts, and hoarding situations. We work with realtors, property managers, and families. We leave properties broom-clean and ready for the next chapter.

Do you donate items?

Absolutely. We partner with local charities and donation centers. Items in good condition are donated rather than sent to landfills whenever possible. We believe in responsible disposal.

How long does a typical junk removal job take?

Most residential jobs take 30-60 minutes. Larger cleanouts like garages, basements, or whole-home cleanouts may take 2-4 hours. We'll give you a time estimate when we provide your quote.

Bulk Material Delivery

Mulch, gravel, topsoil, and other materials

What materials do you deliver?

Mulch, gravel, crushed stone, topsoil, fill dirt, sand, and aggregate. If you need a specific material for your project, give us a call and we'll source it for you.

Do you spread the material after delivery?

Yes — spreading service is available for an additional fee. Just let us know when you book and we'll quote it. Otherwise we'll dump it in a clearly accessible spot you specify.

How is bulk material priced?

Pricing depends on the material type and quantity. Call us at 630-286-9638 for current material pricing — rates change with market conditions.

How much material can your trailer carry?

Our trailers carry between 10 and 20 cubic yards depending on the size used. We'll help you figure out how much material you need based on your project.

Pricing & Payment

Costs, fees, and payment options

How much does a dumpster rental cost?

Pricing depends on size and rental duration. The 10-yard trailer starts at our lowest rate, with the 15-yard trailer priced slightly higher. Our base rate covers 1 day, and you can add days as needed. Visit our pricing page for current rates.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. The price you see at booking is the price you pay — delivery, pickup, and disposal are all included. The only additional charge is if you exceed the included weight allowance, which is billed at $0.06 per pound (about $120 per ton) after the load is weighed at the landfill.

What happens if I go over the weight limit?

We include a generous weight allowance with each dumpster. If you exceed it, overage is $0.06 per pound — about $120 per ton over the included weight. We weigh the load at the landfill and bill the difference after disposal, so you only pay for what you actually went over. Most residential projects stay well within the limit.

How do I pay?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure online checkout. You can also pay over the phone. Payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
